PopUp-at-the-Square-Poster_fullCity of Victoria Announces  Call for Pop-up at the Square, Temporary Public Art Installation

The City of Victoria invites teams and individuals to submit creative design concepts to temporarily transform Victoria’s primary public gathering space into a vibrant, playful and memorable ‘pop-up’ play destination that appeals to all ages. We encourage you to share this info to your networks and spread the word about this exciting initiative.

Deadline: Design packages must be submitted online by 4:00 p.m. PST on March 30, 2017.

Competition Site: Centennial Square is located in the heart of downtown Victoria, Canada.

Award: The winning design will be selected by a Jury and the winning team will receive a $5,000 (CAD) award and up to $50,000 (CAD) toward design refinement, structural engineer review, materials, fabrication, and installation. The public will also get to cast their vote for the people’s choice award and the winning team will receive $1,000.
