Manifest Call to Students, 13th Annual RITES OF PASSAGE
Emerging Artists Exhibition
Juniors, Seniors and Recent Undergrads*
Call for Entries Deadline: March 31, 2017
$500 BEST OF SHOW AWARD
Founded in 2004 by professors and students, Manifest is a non-profit organization which continues to be operated by artists for artists, and by students for students. Our academic roots continue to be integral to our programming. Every year Manifest surveys work by students and recent graduates of art and design programs, seeking to assemble, promote, and document examples of the excellence being achieved by new or emerging artists for Rites of Passage. This exhibit, season publication, and award are intended to support that emergence.
For a thirteenth straight year we offer this challenge to students and the recently graduated in regional, national, and international college undergraduate programs to show us what they have achieved, bring it off campus, and share it with our international viewing public.
We believe there exists tremendous unexposed quality among people pursuing degrees in the visual arts. Revealing new artists to the public is part of our non-profit mission!
This exhibit will feature the best work from artists about to receive or recently awarded an undergraduate degree from a regional, national, or international college art or design program. All entrants must have received or be scheduled to receive a college undergraduate degree in 2016, 2017, or 2018, and provide a current academic reference’s contact info.
Please e-mail any questions here.
* Manifest’s annual MASTER PIECES project (for current/recent graduate students) is open for entry here.
