International Call to Artists, NARS Foundation Juried Solo Exhibition Program

Application deadline: May 1, 2017

NARS Foundation is currently accepting applications for our Juried Solo Exhibition. The aim of the Juried Solo Exhibition Program supports an individual artist to present a cohesive and compelling body of work in the NARS Gallery. Open to US and international artists, this juried open call provides emerging and under-represented artists with gallery space, curatorial, and promotional support, in addition to an artist fee, for their exhibition. Proposals should be of new or work produced within the last three years, in dialogue with contemporary art and the world writ large.

The Juried Solo exhibition is scheduled for October-November 2017. Guest juror will be announced shortly. Previous exhibitions and application link can be found at http://www.narsfoundation.org/exhibition-programs/.

The NARS Foundation Exhibition Program presents compelling and innovative work being produced on a local, national, and international level by under-represented artists today. The Gallery is located in an industrial building amongst our residency and long-term studio spaces which allows for the unique opportunity to present and experience contemporary artwork within a work-space environment. The presence of artists’ studios also allows for further dialogue and exchange between artists and curators.

The NARS Gallery hosts 6-8 exhibitions per year, including: four Residency exhibitions, a Juried Solo exhibition, anEmerging Curator exhibition, a J&M Studios exhibition, and two to three Guest or staff curated exhibitions.
